Ben Chatraw

Ben and his family call Jacksonville, Florida, home, actively engaging with the Emmaus church community, where he serves as an elder and missions leader. He is also an entrepreneur with a proven track record in finance, private equity, and banking. His expertise lies in entrepreneurship, leadership, strategic planning, financial analysis, and deal structuring.

Ben has led an independent equity research firm, initiated various private equity ventures and co-founded a long-short hedge fund. He currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of South Rose Capital, focusing on strategic investments in financial services, banking, and emerging fintech-driven growth companies. A highlight of his journey includes founding, leading, and successfully selling North Avenue Capital, a specialized commercial lender supporting rural communities across America, ultimately sold to a publicly traded bank.

Most importantly, Ben is committed to utilizing business as a platform to contribute to human flourishing through the example of Jesus.  He’s a founder and current board member of Videre. Ben also serves on the Executive Committee at the Sontag Foundation, a major funder of brain cancer research in the U.S. Additionally, he chairs All Nations Soccer, a Jacksonville faith-based ministry sharing the gospel with over 2,000 players from 150 nations. He is passionate about education, and is a popular visiting speaker at prestigious universities in the U.S. and China, focusing on entrepreneurship, finance, purpose, and faith.

Ben holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Business from Harvard University.
